Painted faces in the park

I spent most of the weekend nursing a sore head! It was totally worth it though, as my weekend included being let loose on my friends’ faces with face paints (as seen above). Nothing like having a whiskey in one hand and a paintbrush in the other.

Apologies for the hiatus; I just haven’t been taking photos. I kept finding myself in cool places without my camera, which kind of defeats the whole point of having a camera. In the meantime, enjoy our faces.

Sunny intervals

Yet again it has been a while. I’ll admit I’ve just not had much of an urge to pick up my camera recently, except for photographing my friends. I doubt the sight of me and my friends posing away at parties makes for very appealing viewing. I had the day off yesterday and decided to go out and take some snaps as it was such a warm day. I visited Maash (whom you’ve met before) in Greenwich (more on that next time), then got the DLR back to Bank and took a long walk. I might as well be blindfolded around that part of London, but somehow I managed to navigate myself back to the West End to meet my friends for a late afternoon drink. And I didn’t even cheat and use the sat nav on my Blackberry. I’m getting better at this – I figure there’s no better way than getting a bit lost to learn my way around the different pockets of the city.

In technicolour

For me, Prague was all about the tiny details. I noticed cute, little things everywhere I looked. From unseasonal baubles in shop windows to hand-crafted decorations to little bits of graffiti, my inner magpie was quite overjoyed.

I’m quite excited about the arrival of spring and, most of all, summer. I’ve got a trip to Berlin lined up with my best girl Bethany and there are talks of Barcelona in the pipeline. I’ll also be going to Poland (possibly Krakow?) and my brothers and I are hoping to hop across the pond to New York in the early autumn too. The year of frivolity is shaping up nicely and I’m a very lucky girl indeed. Oh and the sun’s out in London today, I’m going out for dinner with my best mate then off to a gig with a bunch of my friends. When it rains it pours.
