My friend Simon and I went on an adventure to Barnes to visit the London Wetland Centre. We saw a lot of ducks (and some swans and a couple of otters) and got rained on and had a very nice time.

Barca Blue

I’m finally getting round to posting some photos from Barcelona! It’s amazing the difference a blue sky makes. It was only about 18-20°C but sunshine and a blue sky makes everything feel warmer. Barcelona is extremely photogenic so expect more!

Most Islington residents (or wannabe Islington residents) will tell you they love Camden Passage. It’s cute, there’s a lot going on and there’s plenty to see, whether you want to eat, buy a necklace from a junk shop or ponder on some antique furniture.

It has been a little while! I’ve had no compulsion to pick up my camera, having been so busy with work. These are of our modest little garden that has no grass, so only looks pretty covered in snow. I’m dreading the inevitably icy walk to work tomorrow but for now I’ll savour the crunch of new snow under my wellies.

The Windy Crag

We affectionately termed Paros the ‘Windy Crag’ because…well, it’s windy and rocky. There’s apparently a constant stream of wind between Paros and Naxos, and this makes Paros a popular windsurfing spot. I grew fond of the Windy Crag, particularly on the day we went on the long, long walk documented in the above photos. We walked from Parikia over to a ruin we could see in the far distance. It involved walking through beaches and over hilly and rocky terrain and it took about 4 hours there and back but we got there! I’d say it was my favourite part of the whole trip.

Greece was stunning. Athens is an amazing city for history and the views were unbelievable. Here are a few shots from around the Acropolis to get the ball rolling. More to come!

Horniman Museum

Who knew such a goldmine lurked in the depths of southeast London? I’m the newest addition to the Horniman Museum’s fan club. Here are a few shots from their fantastic collection of musical instruments. More coming up from their natural history exhibits!
