O Christmas Tree

I’ve never had my own real Christmas tree before. I’ve only helped out with the tree at my parents’ house (my mum really enjoys decorating it) and then last year we just had a tiny, tiny one. This year my flatmate brought home a real tree, so we went all out in decorating it. It warms my heart to come home and see it! Simple pleasures. I hope everyone had a good Christmas!

In technicolour

For me, Prague was all about the tiny details. I noticed cute, little things everywhere I looked. From unseasonal baubles in shop windows to hand-crafted decorations to little bits of graffiti, my inner magpie was quite overjoyed.

I’m quite excited about the arrival of spring and, most of all, summer. I’ve got a trip to Berlin lined up with my best girl Bethany and there are talks of Barcelona in the pipeline. I’ll also be going to Poland (possibly Krakow?) and my brothers and I are hoping to hop across the pond to New York in the early autumn too. The year of frivolity is shaping up nicely and I’m a very lucky girl indeed. Oh and the sun’s out in London today, I’m going out for dinner with my best mate then off to a gig with a bunch of my friends. When it rains it pours.

Kung Hei Fat Choi!

I spent quite a lot of time in Chinatown over the Chinese New Year weekend. I know I haven’t been around much recently, but I haven’t forgotten this little blog! I’m hoping to get back into taking photos over the coming weeks. I just got a new 18-105mm lens the other week, and it’s been mainly gathering dust since then so I should really take it out for a proper runaround. I’m going to Prague at the end of the month, which should really help. In the meantime, here are a handful of shots I took last weekend.
