I don’t often post photos of people on here, but just look at how cute my friends are. These are from a festival-themed party we threw last month, hence all the UV face paint. I’ve been in something of a photo lull recently, but I’m off to Gdansk this weekend so I’m sure I’ll come back with a few shots.

Beautiful things

Nothing beats a lovely afternoon with lovely people. I really have little else to add!

And a little bit more

Last Kenya shots from me, I think. These are a mixture from the villages of Mtwapa and Voi and a few from Mombasa.

I know I haven’t got back into updating as much as usual. It has been late evenings at work this week so I don’t usually fancy doing anything once I get home. Also, the flat hunt is starting again for moving in September – busy, busy but exciting times. I’ve got a post in the pipeline about appearance and the politics surrounding it (“AGAIN?”, you say?) as it seems everyone I know has been giving me food for thought on that very subject.

Larks in the park

Photos from messing around in Regent’s Park on bank holiday Monday. After a lunch of Indonesian cuisine and gelato from Scoop, Bethany and I met up with a few of my friends in Camden and we went and had some drinks in the park. Look how earthy and tree-loving they are.

I’m off to Kenya tomorrow night. I hope that when I get back, life takes on a slower pace. I miss having time to spend doing nothing – this week has been quite crazy in a number of ways and looking back at these photos is making me pine for the time when I had more opportunities to be silly in parks and other places. Won’t complain – Kenya awaits.

Burning out

I’m ridiculously tired and cranky, but here is one of my favourite shots from my gallivanting adventure the other day. With the flat-hunt, commute, new job and diary chock-full of commitments this week, it’s nice to flick back through the weekend’s photos, even if this does make it feel like an eternity until next weekend.

Fish Eye.

My new fish eye lens was so quick to arrive, I figured I had to take it out to play.

These aren’t brilliant but I guess the possibilities and limitations of fish eye will take some getting used to. Can’t wait to use it to snap Istanbul!
