I went on a little wander a few nights ago. I got off the bus early at Old Street and walked down to London Bridge (I’ve done that walk a few times and quite like it). Reaching London Bridge just after sunset, it looked really pretty so I took a few shots to share. I’m off to Barcelona in the morning for my annual long weekend jaunt with Sam, so I’m sure I’ll come back with some good photos!

I’ve been ill this week so unfortunately I haven’t been able to take any new shots. Instead, I’m finally getting round to putting up these from last weekend when I was on the South Bank. From these, you wouldn’t even have an inkling that it’s November. You might from my lack of voice, though.

We two should be like a couple of hot tomatoes

I decided to give this blog a break from the barrage of Kenya photos and share instead some shots from my epic walk home the other day to Camden from London Bridge. It was such a nice evening and the prospect of sitting on a hot and sweaty bus or tube did not appeal. I stumbled across lots of sequins scattered across the cobbles and a beautiful sunset. Not a bad way to end an evening. It’s funny how your mood can change the way you look at things or, in this case, photograph things. I was in such a good mood when I took these and as a result they turned out quite…optimistic and romantic. I should try when I’m in a bad mood and observe the difference.

Having spent much of the weekend packing and sorting through my belongings, I haven’t had much of a chance to say goodbye to Richmond. I move out next weekend but have to get everything ready in advance because I’m working full-time. These photos are from last Sunday, when my friend Sam and I walked all the way along from Richmond to Kingston, and then wandered back to Richmond in time for sunset. I’ll miss the 45-minute walk home from Richmond – the perfect opportunity to let off steam at the end of a long day. For some reason, I doubt Camden will be as picturesque as Richmond, but it will certainly be an easier commute without the dreaded 65 bus and gridlocked narrow roads in the mornings.

Now then, now then. Off to continue wading through my masses of things. This week is going to be busy and exhausting, but I have nothing to complain about so I hope I can keep a smile on my face despite the inevitable tiredness!
